Review of Title 365 Xome Signings

In 2021 Mr. Cooper announced the sale of Title 365.  Title 365, formerly known as Xome signings is a signing service within a title company that offers  a mobile app for notifications. They pretty were much paying notary signing agents a flat $90 per signing. The Mr. Cooper loans were rather easy to close. I think they fell off my radar in 2022 with the lower paying fees for HELOCs. While they were turning out a steady amount of them I felt it wasn’t as worth my while as expanding my own signing service.

Overall they were pretty good to work with save for a few debacles of miscommunication. The problem with some of these “in-house” signing services like Title 365 f.k.a. Xome is if they have a mistake on there part, often times they want you the notary to foot the bill on corrections. Not really cool. While they claim “high tech, high touch” not so much for the abused signing agent on the other end.

Now I’m all for correcting mistakes on my end, making a repeat trip if needed, but not so much when the circumstances were outside of my locus of control. However some of the larger companies like Xome signings as they used to be called, are not above resorting to bullying tactics to get there way with mobile notaries.

All in all most of my experiences with this company were pleasant and I certainly enjoyed the experience both as a notary and with all the local community I got to meet and serve on there behalf. These day we run our own different breed of signing service and I am focusing on the good, bad, and the ugly of various signing services so as to cultivate a culture of notaries, as well as a signing service that can create win-wins and a thriving environment for everyone involved!
