Best Side Hustles 2022

There was a time when many would contend that the best side hustle was becoming a mobile notary/loan signing agent. While this is still a great opportunity and getting a notary commission in most places is exceptionally easy to achieve the reality of 2022 is that interest rates have risen dramatically and had a severe negative impact on signing services and title companies.

This reality, unfortunately, is that this downturn still hasn’t stopped hucksters from trying to convince you to buy their “signing systems” of sorts to make some extra money or fast cash as a mobile notary public.

Sure, there are still plenty of transactions going on on a daily basis but nowhere near the volume that was experienced in the years of 2020 and 2021.

Therefore, the expectations of the income level that can normally be achieved with minimal effort being an LSA / NSA it’s simply not the case for the time being.

So what then, is the best side hustle for 2022? Well, for starters don’t ditch your notary business &  commission just yet because you can use that to exploit many more untapped opportunities that have yet to go mainstream and are still unsaturated.

The best move is to simply pivot and expand on your notary business by adding some additional services that gel very well. Align yourself with the same benefits that initially appealed to you getting involved in loan closings with being a mobile notary public.

If you need to be reminded what they are it was this:

1) Fast cash with a quick turnaround.

2) low overhead / low inventory / low start-up cost.

3) High demand/low advertisement expenditure.

4) A work from home side hustle

If you haven’t read our smashing hit book “A Golden Pen”, now is the time to go get that! It’s actually sold everywhere from Barnes & Noble to Wal-Mart to Amazon. We actually predicted this whole debacle was coming down the pipe and had been prepared for it with additional revenue streams.

Your notary loan signing work is like having a golden pen, you just run out of ink but you have other golden pens you can use… we can teach you.

You need only identify a few simple extra skills list those services we simplified marketing techniques and go out and make some extra cash!

So in closing, the best side hustle for 2022 isn’t being a just a notary loan signing agent.

It’s being a notary-preneur!

Notary Directory Listings, Notary Directories & Notary Platforms

Finding a notary public can be a difficult task. There are many notaries public out there, so it is important to do your research. Here are a few tips to help you find the perfect notary public to notarize your important documents.

1. Ask your friends and family if they know any notaries public. They may have a friend or family member that they know is a great notary public.

2. Go online and search for notaries public in your area. There are many notaries public online who are willing to list their services.

3. Look for notaries public who offer discounted rates. Many notaries public offer discounted rates for students and retired individuals. Groupon is a great place to check in this instance!

4. Ask your local Chamber of Commerce for a list of notaries public in your area. Many notaries public offer free consultations to new clients.

5. Ask your bank or credit union if they know of any notaries public who offer discounted rates. Many notaries public offer discounted, but be forewarned, many banks won’t touch highly sensitive documents like enhanced life estate deeds.

The last option, which is the central focus of this article designed to assist both the public, and the notary public, is notary directories.

Notary directory listings can be a helpful resource for locating a notary public in your area. The directory may list the notary’s name, address, and telephone number. Additionally, the directory may list the notary’s qualifications, experience, and affiliations.

In most cases even map and website listings. Savvy notaries may even be upfront about pricing.

As for the notary entrepreneur it is useful to increase your exposure as well as number of links to your business website. Placement is as many of them that are free is crucial. At the same time prudence must be used when utilizing paid notary public directories. Not all are created equal. In fact most are not worth paying for.

This is a journey that must be explored and experimented with on an individual  level I can tell you my favorite FREE Notary Listings are without a doubt Notary Cafe, and Notary Rotary. I also love using the many notary resources that those 2 sites have as well.  For example notary rotary has a page splitter that is useful for separating legal/letter documents if you aren’t running a dual tray printer.

For paid notary placements the best in my experience is by far 123Notary & Noble Legal Pros.  It straight up generates title leads without question. Some notary & signing agent platforms like notary resume can also in a sense serve as a directory though the main purpose of those platforms is as a resource for the many signing services to hire mobile closers from.

In summary, there are many notary directories available. The list is probably far too exhausted to mention all of them here, however they make a great resource. Both the LOCAL notary CAN market their services and gain visibility, as well as for the general public looking for a “notary near me“.

For the notaries public, it’s a tight advisable to use caution when with paid listings as many of them aren’t as popular or will necessarily generate as much value as you hope, for the price they are charging for a listing. But as we’ve discussed there are also many free listings that you should take full advantage of!

For any mobile notaries or NSA signing agents looking to seriously capitalize on, and level up marketing skills we highly recommend taking a serious look at NOTARY PROSPERITY ACADEMY for online notary training systems & courses!

Marketing Your Notary Services

A notary public can be a valuable resource for people who need to document their transactions. Notaries can verify the accuracy of signatures on documents and can also issue notarial certificates. Notaries can also certify the accuracy of documents that have been notarized by other notaries.
When it comes to mobile notary services, there are a number of benefits to consider. For starters, mobile notaries are very accessible. You can access them from anywhere in the world, which means you can notarize documents no matter where you are. Additionally, mobile notaries are very quick and efficient. They can complete notarizations in just a few minutes, which is great if you need to notarize a document on short notice. Finally, mobile notaries are very affordable. You can often find mobile notaries who offer very competitive rates, which makes them a great option if you need to notarize a document on a budget.
Online notary services are becoming more and more popular as people look for ways to save time and money. Notaries can offer a number of services online, including notarizing documents, signing documents, and providing notarial services over the internet.
Notaries can provide a number of services online, including notarizing legal documents, signing documents, and providing notarial services. Many online notary services offer a variety of features, such as the ability to upload documents, receive instant notifications when documents are notarized or signed, and receive feedback about the documents notarized or signed.
Some online notary services also offer a consultation service in which explains the whole process as it can be somewhat complicated.

Marketing your notary business

When picking a business name, you need to keep search criteria in mind or Search Engine Optimization. Basically, you want to pick a name that will make it easier for you to be found on Google, Yelp, YAhoo, or any other search engine. This is an example of how/what you want to naming your business. Your business name should have your City and the Service you offer. Ex: Jacksonville Mobile Services.
It’s a good idea to mass directory submission keeping your Name Address & Phone consistent.
That’s it in a nutshell.
You can buy several domain names via landing pages and point them all to one website. For example, if the closest big city to your small city is Los Angeles, you can buy a domain for your town, buy one for it, buy another for another town like Hollywood or say Beverly Hills, but have all domains/landing pages leading back to your primary website.
So that if somebody searches “Beverly Hills” + “notary public”, your business will show up on google pages, when they click the link, they will land on your website.
Then, if somebody searches “hollywood” + “mobile notary”, your business will show up on google results, when they click they will also land on the exact same website.
I recommend getting a Caard.Co site as they are easy to build, mobile adaptive & tend to rank well.
This is just one fraction of a strategy of many powerful ones taught in Notary Prosperity Academy to incorporate many surrounding cities into your business name and rank for multiple cities in the search results.

The Steps To Get Your Connecticut Notary Commission

To become a Notary Public in Connecticut, NO training is actually required. Keep in mind a notary exam or continuing education courses are not required in all states. To determine if your state requires applicants to complete an exam to become a Notary Public, reach out to your Secretary of State’s office. The exam will test your knowledge of the guidelines and procedures covered in your Notary Public Manual provided to you by the Secretary of the State’s office. In CT the application for commission fee is $120.00. The fee for any act performed by a notary public, in accordance with the provisions of the general statutes, is five dollars ($5.00) plus an additional thirty-five cents ($.35) for each mile traveled. This of course doesn’t apply to apostilles, loan closings and the numerous side services you can offer!

How long does it take to get my Notary Certificate?

In CT, the time to obtain your notary certificate could be 1-3 weeks. Costs and hours of class time will vary by state. If your state requirements are minimal the process would be closer to 4 weeks. A few states do require training and classes in advance of completing an exam, such as California. How exams are administered and what training or courses are required vary by state.

What is the process to obtain a Notary Commission?

The Notary process varies by state because notaries are commissioned and regulated at the individual state level. All notaries should check with their Secretary of the State to fully understand what is required to obtain their notary commission. For those states that require training, they must be state-approved service providers. While few states require in-person training, it is encouraged to obtain educational support on your own. You can do this through a service provider or organization that teaches practical information to learn how to perform official duties, record notarial acts, or obtain a mentor.
