What is RON?

RON stands for remote online notarization. Florida allows specially commissioned notaries to perform online notarizations. this can be done for anyone, anywhere in the USA, so long as the notary is physically in Florida.

In today’s digital world, remote online notary (RON) services have become increasingly popular for those needing to get documents notarized. This innovative technology allows individuals to have their documents notarized and signed remotely using an online platform, eliminating the need for in–person visits to the notary. Remote online notary is a convenient and secure way to have documents notarized without having to leave your home or office. It is a process that involves using an internet–based platform to connect a notary public with the signer of a document. The notary public will review the document, ask questions, witness the signature, and then notarize the document electronically. The process begins with the signer providing a valid government–issued photo ID and an electronic copy of the document to be notarized. The notary public will then review the document, ask any necessary questions, and witness the signer’s signature. The Notary uses an approved platform such as Pavaso or Doc Verify (just two of many) to facilitate the transaction. These platforms serve several purposes. One is to assist in ID verification.
